WHAT IS A CERTIFIED LOAN SIGNING AGENT?

A certified signing agent is a notary public who has specialized training in the presentment of your loan documents. The signing agent identifies the documents your client is going to be signing and the key important points of information on the document.

Again, following the state approved identification process we administer the oath requested in the notorial certificate and properly execute the loan documents. These are then returned to the title company or lender for them to fund the loan.

Certified signing agents do not explain the document to the client, they only point out the key information. Certified signing agents are not typically attorneys of law and cannot explain a document as this is considered unauthorized practice of law by the state.

Our key role is the proper signing of the loan documents complete with the notary statement.

A convenient time and location is prearranged with the client to facilitate the signing process. This can be done in the clients home or office or other convenient place for your client.
